I have a 71 nova that had the same prob. I had two cracks in the dash pad. I took my old pad out and went to an upholstery shop and had them repair the cracks and recover the dash pad ,looks as good as new and was cheaper to do!!!

hey,
My dash pad has tons of cracks on it, i was wondering if you knew if they could fix it. Also do they just repair the cracks or do they actually recover it.

Im not to sure on what they can and cant fix, they will have to have a look at it first. I would drive the car to them first and let them see what they think they can do and about how much to do it.. If it can be repaired take it out yourself and save a little extra cash. With the one I have they repaired the cracks and recoverd it any colour I wanted.

I have the same problem on my 73. I ordered a new dash cover from dashtops.com. I havn't installed it yet but it looks really simple. The price was only about $75.
