Quick Question...

Ok, i got my starter that i needed. Now, my question is how do i bench test it before i put it on?

o yea sry, i was in a hurry...

its a '92 RS w/ a V8

and i bought it from a friend at his impound, it didnt have a starter, i just pulled this one from a '90 model of the same car from Pick n Pull, thats why i want to test it.

Actually.. should i have to test it at all? or should i just put it on the car and see if it works? (assuming it doesnt take that long...) would it?

Install it cause I have never tested one outside a car and most likely it works.

it shouldnt take too long. i did a starter on an old ford ranger in literally 16 minutes. i can tell you that if you want to test it you should just have to jump a 12volt source and ground to the terminals. if you try it make sure you hold on to the thing...

well, i just put it on w/out testing it and now i guess i wont know if it works or not until i can get the right resistor into my vats system. (probably tomorrow)

that is, if i can figure it out
