To buy, or not to buy

I have some questions. I am about to purchase a 1994 JGC Laredo w/the 5.2 V8. I test drove it and was amaxed at how smooth the ride was. The only thing I am worried about is the mileage. 253,000!!!
The motor is a tiny bit noisy when it idles, but it still seems to have quite a bit of horsepower left. The previous owner was an Amsoil salesman. That is all he ever used in this jeep. Could this be a good thing? I assume that it is, considering how well it runs. The interior is immaculate, and it already has a tow package. I would just like some advice and hints. The price is right, and I just fell in love with this vehicle. Thanks for helping a clueless girl out!

At 253,000 Mi. Did he have any service records available with the Jeep. Every thing major can go wrong with less than half of that milage. Any time you buy a used vechile repairs are in the future. A good indicator is the condition inside and outside, if it is well taken care of it is most probally a good buy.` TRy to talk to him personally and see if you can find more history about what he had done and what he didnt.
