Re: Re: How fast? Is the Quistion

yeah, a "few mods" if you wanna know what all is done to it then email me, i'd be happy to send you back a list of everything that is done... and if that isnt enough then i will gladly photocopy the ticket that i got and send it to you, i hate being called out like that...and i never said that i got to 143 in a quarter mile...and no - there is no LT1, its not a Z28, or SS... its a 3.4...with a "simple" 4L60 trany behind it...

Or was it some kind of rear end gear swapping? 0-60 in 3 mins?

Or maybe its because you haven't realized yet that there is actually an Lt1 in that camaro.

I'm not trying to blast you but I've been behind the wheel of the 3.4 and 3.8, and in the highest gear they are struggling past 110.

Neither am I when I use the tuner kit from www.hptuners.com and download the values(all the values) to every table known to man in the LS1 PCM, you can say I know better then another website. I've only done 1 LT1 and it was his LT1Edit program and cable and he already did his top speed/gear/tire changes, so I did not have to get into it.

Nice pic! I'll be heading through OKC in about 2 weeks and isn't thunder valley near Norman?

Re: How fast? Is the Quistion

hey my 95 3.4 with little work has no trouble sending the speedo past 115 witch is the highest it will read fastest ever clock was 90 so dont know exact i fig. on a good day with about a mile of road i could get about 120 out of it but dont trust the tire vibration i get at over 110 only maxed it once got scared no land speed record but i think is pretty fast for a 3.4 with stock drivetrain an wallmart tires

Re: How fast? Is the Quistion

Exit 108A in norman, (Hwy 9 east) 5 miles. Take Hwy 77 South to Noble, go through Noble (watch speed limits). 2 miles south of Noble turn right on 48th Street. This dead ends into the track.

Re: How fast? Is the Quistion

If you stand at the very end of the track and watch those cars exit a quarter mile doing 255 MPH,as you watch them pass by you will know you havent gone that fast in a street car.

Re: Re: How fast? Is the Quistion

Or this :-D

This is my 79 Firebird... shes got an olds 403 with a holley performer 4 bbl carb, and a turbo 350 automatic tranny. I think... I dont know much about the car cause I got it from a police auction with no history... but I do know shes fast... Ive had her up to a guestimated 140 something, the spedo goes to 120 and it was buiried pretty nice.. I thought i was going to die though... the car sounded like it was going to blow apart at any second... I'll probably do it again anyway
