3rd Door on 3/4 ton??

did GM ever offer the 3rd door as an option on the 3/4 ton (2500) Extended Cab Trucks??? or was it just on the 1/2 ton (1500) Extended Cab trucks?

Thank you very much.

Bryan

well, i think they started offering the 3rd door on the Ext. Cab in either '96 or '97. so i'd be talking about 1996 - 1998 trucks...

Re: 3rd Door on 3/4 ton??

Im pretty sure they didn't. Its kind of strange though because aren't 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons the same body? Except the 3/4 has a heavier suspension and frame.

Look around a little, I'm not 100% sure.

The 1500 & 2500 series are exact same body designs and/or parts. The 3500 series has the same design as well, however, I believe the body panels are thicker gauge metal. Oh yeah, and the suspension is probably different.

Re: Re: 3rd Door on 3/4 ton??

In 1998 when my dad ordered a 2500 extended cab long bed, he could not get the third door. I don't believe they put the third door on the heavy duty pickups until the silveradoes came out.
