Flames dangerous?

Ok now that i posted one thread and asked a question with no real answers....i would like to know maybe if this time you guys could answer it.....HOW DO YOU MAKE FLAMES COME OUT THE TAILPIPE?
Whats this whole spark plug thing? How do you do it? Will your car blow up? Can the flames go back into the engine? :flash:

I saw this once on my classic car... Basically what you do is.... put a spark plug in the pipe itself.... Then of course u need a spark plug wire, and u need to somehow get power to that spark plug... I think you can just hook it up to the battery, get a togle switch... Turn the switch on, and that will make the apsrk plug spark... But then I think you have to floor it for flames to come out... Id ont know hwo to do it exactly, thats basically what iut is tho.

Well, although this question was probably sparked by F&F and for some reason that seems to automatically make people look down on the question, I'd have to agree in saying that it does look pretty damn cool. There are 2 ways that I know of to get flames to shoot out of your exhaust, the spark plug idea that was mentioned does work, I saw a guy who did it once to a hot rod he had and it was pretty sweet. But, although you can't control when it happens, you can make the flames shoot out without the spark plugs...if you ever watched the rally cars you would see they do it sometimes. To the best of my knowledge it's from when the air/fuel ratio is too rich. So, hypothetically, there is a chance you could get the effect by just punching it really hard.

witht he spark plug thing, what the other peeps said is right, you could just wire it to a momentary switch and tap it whenever you want while you are hittin the gas really hard.

Yes, there is a chance the flames could go the other way than out.

I did some searching and found a pretty good explanation on how to do it.

So, what kind of car do you have? Your profile says you're getting a Supra, but what kind of car you got now?

And also, nowhere in this thread did ANYONE say their civic was fast. The person asked "how do I get flames from my tailpipe".

Not "Man, my car's gonna go so fast with flames."
