No you need an h-series tranny (or B-series if you use an adapter plate).
You're not doing this swap on your own are you?

You need any H or F series tranny (excluding F20C/F22C); with the h22 tranny's gearing being the most ideal.

Funny, CivicSpoon and I are like the h22 swap advocates. Everytime an H22 swap thread comes up, we are the only ones to answer.

Ok thxs

Alright thxs guys. Was just wondering about that. I have a sweet place called slowmotion/modena motorsports doing it for me. they're getting engine, mounts, ecu, tranny etc, They gave me an estimate AT THE MOST it would cost of about 5,000 dollars. Sounds like a sweet deal to me seeing how I would have to find most parts by myself with other places. What do yu guys think of that price? I figured with the light body of my si del sol h22 would be sick motor for that car. I just want to surpass my dudes 310hp MR2, and I don't think my sohc si vtec motor is gonna do it.

That sounds like a damn good price for the motor, parts, and installation; as long as they know what they're doing.

Yeah ya know. I think everyone else needs to jump on the H22 bandwagon.

5 grand is a damn good price for the complete deal. I dunno about beating a 310hp mr2, but an h22 in a del sol will put you pretty deep into the 13's. Good Luck.

Cool I knew it sounded like a good deal. I know they know what they're doing. They have did work for my 2000ex and did a damn good job too. As for the MR2 I think I will get him.....He does have the imported turbo Japanese motor.....Buuut I will be getting pistons so I can run high boost on the H22.
