no start, but yes to electric?

94 jeep grand, v8, laredo style won't start. the battery and starter are fine, so is the ignition system and charging system. i get the windows and seats, wipers lights and radio to work fine, but the engine won't turn over. guy at meineke said theres no spark going to the coil, any ideas what it could be?

sound the engine makes sounds like when you're testing the compression on a cylinder w/o the spark plug in...

any help is apprecaited

From other statements in your description, it sounds like the engine is cranking(turning over) but not firing at the cylinders.

No spark could be caused by a lot of things.

Check for codes first. just use the key on-off-on-off-on-off-on method to get the check engine lite to flash the two digit codes.

you can access the code descriptions at

Have fun and let us know what you find.
