gr or gpx

Hi everyone,i am looking to buy an fto, i hope someone can help me with the decision,i am wondering,, the gpx or the gr, is the mivec engine better and more reliable?? or are the old stick and shifts just as good,and are there any things i should awere of when viewing,e.g common probs.
