How long do 1989 Galants last (motor)????

Hey my buddy just bought a 1989 Galant with the 2.0 4 cyl for 250 bucks and he was wondering how long they typically last. Thanks guys!!!!

My father has a 89 galant and it has over 220,000 miles and still running hard. Im always stepping and racing the motor but its still going hard even though its stock.

i have an 89 galant and mine has 260,000 miles on it and i can still do 110 in 4th gear and i run it as hard as i can and its still goin strong. so i imagine that they last for a while. and my motor is stock to the bone
