Ex Trasmission on Civic Dx
Hi I got 1997 Honda civic dx HB, I installed 2000 Ex transmission in it, I just wanted to know how much faster does this makes the car if anybody out here knows. Before on dx trans I could go up to like 80 on the second gear not its 55. What u guys think about . And does any body know any racing camshaft for d16y7. Thanks alot any help appreciated.

The EX tranny has shorter gears, that's why it tops out lower. I don't know exact numbers, but I'd figure a 10th or so quicker in the quarter. As for cams for a D-series I haven't been able to find any. I do know that there is a company that offers regrinds, I think it's Comp Cams that offers a regrind for D-series cams.

Dam I got my civic and my other car corolla both totalled by my house today. Some guy was trasnferring mentally retarded people and ran in to Corolla ,than corolla flew in to my civic
not a pretty sight .But I am gonna get paid so I am happy. What u guys think is the best car u can get for about 6 grand, in racing compartment.

S13 240sx and SR20DET. A few BPUs and you should have a pretty quick car.
