Subwoofer problems
Ok, right now I have some mighty bad Subs and Amp. Even though they are horrible, when I come toa light my deck resets because to much power is being drained and it can't stay on. How can I prevent this? A cap? Another Battery? A bigger alternator is out of the question... I just bought a 160amp alternator.. =P
P.S. What does everyone think of "PYLE" subs/amps? Thanks again. |

Re: Subwoofer problems
I think of them as "Pyle of crap". Ne ways, if your voltage problem is really that bad you should upgrade Big 3 wiring, yellow top battery. an with that alt you should be fine

Re: Subwoofer problems
dude that sounds way more like a weird wiring issue than a power issue.. if your battery is drained enough to completely draw every bit of power from your deck (thus clearing the memory) then your car would shut off. im nto a wiring expert but maybe someone can suggest a fix.

Re: Subwoofer problems
sounds like to me you wired your HU power & memory wires together (or maybe wired they backwards?). how did you connect your HU? if you used a wiring harness for your car all you have to do is connect the same colors from the radio harness to the car harness. they are color coded so you cannot mess up.

Your amp would have to be over 2000 watts for that 160amp alt to have problems. It's most likely a wiring problem. Pull out your deck and check everything. Then check the connection on the terminals. Make sure there is full contact and limited corrosion.

Re: Subwoofer problems
Yea I'm 99% positive that's not an electrical problem. recheck all your wires.
