85 eating slave cylinders
I have an 85 4 cyl 5spd, that keeps on wearing out the clutch slave cylinder, causing the clutch to slip back to the flywheel. I've found a partial remedy, just not leaving the clutch pedal depressed. However this still doesn't solve stop and go type traffic. Any Advice? I'm tired of having to replace the slave cylinder.

Re: 85 eating slave cylinders
Make sure you flush the system out real good. It sounds like you might have old dirt inside the lines that keeps wearing out your slave cylinders. Also make sure that the bracket isn't bent. It could be making the cylinder push a little sideways, and wear out the seal prematurely.
