That will work but you HAVE to fuse that wire. just go to discount auto parts and get a fuse holder and solder it on. If you don't fuse it you may very easily ruin your deck.

Re: yellow cd deck wire

you should buy the 'car to deck' adapter for your car, then the yellow runs off the radio fuse under the dash. its pretty simple. why are you having to rewire it instead of using the stock harness. hell i ran a 6.5 inch in dash monitor off of the stock harness? apparently you are running both your ACC (ignition) and constant power wires to the same wire. otherwise just replace the radio fuse underneath the steering column

Same problem happened in my friends car, we just F the trouble shooting and ran a new wire with an inline fuse.

You Have To Change The Fuse Under The Hood. Hondas Have Two Fuses For The Radio One The The Yellow Memory Wire And One For The Ignition Switch Which Is Usually Red. The Yellow Wire Has A Fuse Which Is Under The Hood, And The Red Has A Fuse Inside The Car On The Drivers Side. Hope This Helps, Good Luck.

Re: yellow cd deck wire

well every car should have a constant power in there stock wires for old stereo. If you can't fine it, why bother going right to your battery when your fuse box is under the dash.. just get your power from there. Make sure your memory wire is on the correct wire of your car because there should be a constant power somewhere in there
