Question 2002 Explorer Seat belt alarm.

If anyone could help me out this would be fantastic. I want to disable to seatbelt alarm that comes on if you don't put the seatbelt on. I don't want to disable to flashing red seatbelt light on dash gauge cluster just the annoying alarm that goes off every 30 seconds until you put the darn thing on. It sounds as if the noise it coming from under the glove compartment on the passenger side. If theres just a wire to snip or something to easily disable this noise. I've hard of people disabling the noise and i think it just requires a snip of a wire but if anoyone knows exactly how????

I just know that if you press the seat belt release button on the piece located beside your seat belt. The alarm will not go off, until you turn your vehicle off and turn it on again

Do you still have your owners manual? If yes look for the beltminder section. There are directions to disable that feature. If you don't have it I'll post instructions later this week.

Re: Re: 2002 Explorer Seat belt alarm.

If I am not mistaken when you disable the seat belt alarm it also disables the dashlight. The easiest way to do it is to put on your seatbelt.
