WTF are you even talking about?!

If it was refference to my post:
The STD Civic weighs: 2013 lbs.
Base CRX: 2048
CRX Si: 2138

Its funny that you say something completley idiotic, obviously refuting something that someone is saying, but fail to quote to clue us in as to who the post is directed at, OR contributing any of you own useful information.

Re: Question about 88-91 crx's and civic hatches

well about how much do the back seats weigh in the hatch? cause if its around bout 58 pounds or more, then if you take them out it will be even lighter than the crx hf right?

The rear seats weigh about 30lbs at best.
The HF is an extremly light version of the CRX, and the lightest of all 88-91s. Its got lighter brakes, lighter sway bar, and a few other things. HFs are very light.

Re: Question about 88-91 crx's and civic hatches

ooo, but once you replace all the brakes and stuff then they will both just get heavy again so i guess it doesnt really matter in the wheight difference between the two, guess its just body style preference.

I'm not a hater, I like em both. I've seen ugly hatches, I've seen ugly crxs. I say go with the hatch, and save yourself the trouble (not because I own a hatch or anything )

You definitely want the hatch. Nothing against the CRX, but yeah, the hatch is a lot more pimp. To tell you the truth, there isn't too much different in the two... the dash... the size. But if you got a hatch coming your way, take it... with a big SMILE.

Re: Question about 88-91 crx's and civic hatches

thats it.. Get both! take the free hatch your getting, and save up and get a rex! One can be your beater, and one can be your sweet ride. My buddy bought a 92 hatch, we did it up to look sweet, dropped a v-tec in it, and then out of no where 1 month on the road he trades it for a rex and now is back to square 1. But it was because he is like you, loves the crx.. Its all about your own choice i guess..

Re: Question about 88-91 crx's and civic hatches

I own a crx, but I had tocrxtemporarily drive a gutted hatch with my oldcrxmini-me swap in it, and it was just as fun. I still want to buy acrxhatch to go along with my crx. They are both cool, crxI'm not gonna hate on either one. crxBut I'm partial to the CRX style wise, and the dash layout is sexier.crxBut it's completely up to you.crxYou reading this whole thread is just letting you know what everyone else likes. You need to find out what you like. crx

Re: Question about 88-91 crx's and civic hatches

ive had both and driven a bunch of rexes and hatches. rexes are lighter and may be marginally faster but hatches are only a lil' heavier and respond just as well. Hatches have the best view and are more versatile especially if you go auto-x ing. I can fit a set of tires and cooler in the hatch and still see out the back without compromising seating comfort in the front. hatch can carry 5 and as for insurance, hatches are cheaper! ive gotten quotes from many companies and the crx is always more expensive. like someone said, hatches do grow on you and look waay kooler!! he!he!........after they grow on you I guess, lol!

Re: Question about 88-91 crx's and civic hatches

Im with the one person who said keep the hatch and save some money and get a CRX later down the line. Thats what I'm planing. And as far as the back seat goes...you can get tired of hauling people around, even if they do have their own cars. Everyone looks at the hatch goes, you have more room than my lude or teg so we are taking yours....i fixed that problem by taking out the back seat though . But the hatch does come in handy for hauling stuff around, its like a mini mini truck.
