E46 in the snow?
What's shaking? A forum newbie here.
I am looking at trading my beast of a truck - Nissan Titan - for a E46. I have done my homework on these fantastic cars. I even owned an '89 325ix (e30?) with a Dinan chip, AC Schnitzer body kit, ATS wheels, etc; so I know what these cars are capable of... My question is this: what are BMW's (3 series) like in the snow. I know that some of the newer ones come with a DSC system. I also realize that they are rear wheel drive (except the new xi's). Any propeller heads out there run studs on there car, and how has that been? I ask because in about six months, I will be spending some time in Montana during the ever-so-cold winter months. Any all help and comments are immensely apppreciated. Thanks! |

Re: E46 in the snow?
I Live In Western Pa And Having Driven My 99 323i In Some Pretty Bad Snowstorms (feb 03 Found Myself Out On The Road And A Snowmobile Passed Me Going The Other Way) Anyway 4 Blizzaks, 195/60/15, $92.00 Each Have Kept Me From Visiting A Body Shop In The Cold Months. Rear Wheel Drives Are A Blast In The Snow By The Way, I Wish You The Best. I Was Going To Stud My New Set Of Snows But My B/f Could'nt Find A Stud Gun When We Mounted Them. Studs Will Last Alot Longer, But I Would Only Stud The Rears. The Only Time My Car Ever Scared The Hell Out Of My Was On A Patch Of Ice On A Hill At 3am Once
