The Ongoing Security Saga -

Not long ago I awoke in the middle of the night to my alarm. I ran outside and shut it off. The same thing happened a few nights later. So, I decided the best solution would be to simply refrain from setting the alarm (ie, manually locking the doors). This has been working fine, although I do miss using the keyless entry. HOWEVER, the other day I pulled into a parking lot and shut off the car. The moment it shut off the security light came one. "Wierd", I thought. I opened my door and it went off. after manually locking the doors (as my tradition had become), I waited to see what would happen to the security light. Sure enough, it came on, blinking away. Was the alarm on? No. I opened the unlocked tailgate (which usually sets off the alarm) and it did not trip.
All this to say, something is buggy. If you could help me with this one, I'd be one happy fellow. Thanks - And I Love This Forum!!!

(PS. Even now my Jeep sits out front with a flashing security light)
