whinning noise, honda civic 91

Hi, my car makes a whinning noise and it gets louder when it's revved/rpm's raise. It sounds just like an alternator that is about to die and this was my first suspect because this happened to me on the same car almost 2 years ago so I replaced it just yesterday and it is still making the noise and I have no clue why or from where. I tried sticking my head around but I can't decypher it. Any ideas? Thanks for your time!

have you checked your timing belt? it could be too tight.

could be timing belt, my did it till i loosened it a little, but i just put a diffrent type of altenater belt on for temp cause my old one broke and the other one i put on makes a winding noise cause it not the right one. doent go into the groves.

it might also be your water pump going out too, check that also

I agree...check pulley for play.
