98 Grand Prix GTP mode door actuator chirping

Can someone please help. I have a 98 Grand Prix GTP that sounds like it is running on cricket power instead of horsepower. I was told the mode door actuator is making the chirping noise, and that if replaced, the new one would more than likely do the same. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a way to fix it? I know of other people with the same cars, and they dont have the annoying chirping noise. Thanks !
