CD player Instalation

I’m going to install an aftermarket CD player in my friends 95 Grand prix. I haven’t even seen the regular radio cuz I haven’t had a chance to look at it and I was just wondering if I needed an installation kit to install the CD player. And also if theirs any special way too take out the stock radio. Thanks for the help

Re: CD player Instalation

yes, you'll want to buy a fit-kit and wire harness, and an antenna adapter.

Here is the how to:
RADIO REMOVAL AND IN-DASH INSTALLATION:
NOTE: THE FACTORY RADIO PROVISION IS FOR M2000 STYLE GM CHASSIS
RADIO. AN INSTALLATION KIT IS REQUIRED FOR ALL AFTERMARKET
INSTALLATIONS. WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF A SCOSCHE GM1500
SERIES KIT.
1. REMOVE ASH TRAY.
2. EXTRACT (2) PUSH PIN STYLE FASTENERS ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF
THE RADIO/DASH BEZEL WHERE IT CURVES UNDER THE DASH.
3. CAREFULLY PRY OUT ON THE DASH TRIM TO RELEASE (2) PANEL CLIPS
AND REMOVE THE DASH PIECE.
4. EXTRACT (2) 7 MM SCREWS HOLDING THE FACTORY RADIO, UNPLUG
CONNECTORS AND ANTENNA TO REMOVE RADIO.
