door lock

the passenger door lock has quit functioning. All other doors respond to the auto lock function. Has anybody else had this problem and how did you fix? This is a 2001 Taurus.

99.9% odds it's a lock acuator. They're pretty cheap, but cost a pretty penny to install, unless you do it yourself.

thank you. I'm a beginner with this type of system. Are there online manuals that would step me thru the process, I'm reasonably mechanically adept.
