Angry Vehicle Won't Start!!! Please Help!!!!

Hey All,

I'm brand new to this forum - looking for some wisdom. My girlfriend owns a 1998 Saturn SC - that for the most part, has been an excellent vehicle ... very reliable. Believe it or not, the car only has 28,000 miles.

Anyways - the car will NOT start. There's no clicking sound, there's no cranking sound, it's almost like the electrical system is either fried, or frozen.

We live in the North East (huge snowstorm) ... not sure if that has anything to do with it. Additionally, I've heard from some folks that you need to check the antifreeze - not sure where the radiator is on her car.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks for your time in advance.

Regards,
Alex

I would start with the battery and work back from there. Alot of Saturns like to develop leaks and corrosion at the Pos. battery terminal. Verify that your batttery connection is good then start looking for blown fuses. Also, a neat trick is tap on the PCM while trying to start the car.
Also, I saw a number of cases where there was a loose connection at the back of the IP Junction block (behind the radio & A/C). start wiggling / pushing around the wires while trying to start the car.

Hope this helps, If not, I'll see what else I can dig up for ya.
