Guess who's back on two wheels!
Sometimes you want the freedom of a motorcycle, but you want to spend less than $100 buying that freedom. In which case you place an add on craigslist for a broken moped.
You go see the guy, get him to give it to you for $75, take it home, fill it with gas, give the rear inner tube five patches - and soon you're buzzing all over the place holding up traffic at 25-30mpg (don't know for sure it has no speedometer). Anyway, 2strokebloke's newest pile of junk: A 1982 Garelli "sport" moped, with 50cc's worth of fire breathing noxious fume spewing power. The pedals are missing though... but it's surprisingly strong enough to pull itself up even steep hills without any foot assistance. Anyway glad to be back on two wheels, and burning oil. Everybody needs cheap thrills - you don't even have to have insurance for mopeds in most states, because a drunk obese man could cause more property damage than a 100lbs. 2hp moped.
