Operation: NEW SUB = complete :)

I finished installing my new sub into my 90 celica ST. Now ive heard rumers that the alternator cant handle it, but mine is coping with it quite well. Infact i love the sound it adds, no ratteling or anything. Just nice crisp bass.

Im so excited seeing as how i installed it myself. By the way Celica interior panels are a pain in the ass to remove. You have to pull out the entire fucking back seat but everything else was quite easy.

Sub: 12" 350 RMS Watt Pioneer Sub
Amp: CUSPID 2 channel 800 watt (400 watt RMS)

Re: Operation: NEW SUB = complete :)

I spliced my Auto-turn on wire for my AMP into my ignition wire in the back of the stereo. I dont have power entennas, but this powers on when you turn on the car. It should also turn off when the ignition goes off because power is cut to that wire.

My alternator didnt die, i havent had any problems with it yet and im running an 800 watt 2 Channel Amp (400 x 2) with a 350 RMS watt sub...(roughly 550 watts).

In all celicas from 90 - 93 i found that they have the connectors to the power entenna in the trunk even if you dont have the power entenna feature. They also have all the connectors to the 10 speaker system in all the models, they just arent plugged into anything....

Overall i'd say splice your amp remote -turn on into either your Ignition (accessory) wire in the back of your stereo, or the power entenna wire.
