Warning lights come on for no reason

Looking for a warning light list of reasons for them to come on. My Oil light comes on from time to time. I have checked the oil and it is full. Also the Need service light comes on when I come to a stop and goes out when I take off.

Is there a book or list of reasons that the lights are coming on?

Re: Warning lights come on for no reason

Haynes manuals and chliton manuals has trouble shooting lists for most problems, ALthough if your check engine light is coming on your computer has stored what ever cause the problem and you need to get it scanned to find out the reason, Also if one of your guages falls out of normal operating conditions a warning light will come on telling you to check your guages. So the oil problem could very likely be the condition. Also just because your oil is full doesn't mean your car is building enough pressure or doesn't have a over heating condition. Good Luck and welcome to AF.
