Hi All,
I have a 1991 C1500 with a 5.7L engine. I just got the vehicle a month or so ago. I have replaced the plugs, cap, rotor, and control module. I am now getting a code for the TPS. The truck starts sometimes, and lopes when idling. Then if I shut it off, I can't even get it to start sometimes. Anyone have any similar problems? What did you do to fix it. thanks, Bob |

Re: any ideas
change your tps and check your TB gasket.

Re: any ideas
the TPS can cause all kinds of funky problems. They are easy to replace, start there for sure

Re: any ideas
Have you replaced your wires? My 93 suburban ate three sets of plug wires in 50k miles. Pay the money and get either AC or a good quality set. Another dead giveaway to the wires is if the tachometer needle jumps either while at idle or during driving.
