ok theres this dude selling this woofers for $150 they are 2 10's

they'll get loud (at least as loud as 10's can get), but they won't sound good

now hold on just a damn minute. They will et loud INSTALL DEPENDANT. They will most likely not sound good TO MINE OR SR20'S EARS. With a good install they can get loud and sound decent (sound good for the ones who haven't heard better). ....... well on a different note with 150 just get a tempest and port it.

well sure, anything can sound decent to someone who hasn't heard better. But does that mean that Sonys, Pyles, Lanzars, etc really don't sound bad because there's someone out there who hasn't heard better and might be able to live with them?
The HX2 sounds bad, even in the best install it's not that impressive. To someone completely ignorant to the world of decent sound it might be tolerable, but that doesn't change the fact that in reality, it sounds bad. It's basically the RF answer to the L7, they're similar in many ways.

I think this guy will be impressed with the HX2's even if most people in here wont be. For the untrained ear, the HX2's are bangin ass subs especially at 2 for 150. I think you would enjoy it. But you can get a tempest shipped to you for 150$ and it is a 15" with high sound quality. Either way, your 89 mercury tracer will be bangin.

seal some l7's at .707 and they will sound eerybit as good as say the sxline from RE and almost as good as shivas/tempests. They do suffer pretty bad in SPL sealed in SQ setup so very few people run them w/ those intentions.
