Re: quick tranny question

is it automatic or manual? if it is an automatic, it is only a 3-speed with overdrive (if i remember right).

automatic is 4-speed with OD...

i would drop the trans. oil pan and replace the filter and put new trans. fluid in it. sounds dirty...make sure the fluid is where it should be. i hope you do not need a rebuild...BIG MONEY!!!

but if you do need a rebuild i have a 90' auto trans. that was just rebuilt less than 11,000 miles ago. i will give it to you for a really good price compared to getting yours rebuilt or buying one from a wrecking yard. my wrecking yards wanted anywhere from $1200-$1500 to get me one, the cheapest one was $1200 and it had 75k miles, then my rebuild cost just under $2000, just for reference sake...

i wish you the best of luck....

BTW: give me a PM if your interested in my transmission!!! the only reason im getting rid of it is because i have decided to do a full drivetrain swap...

Re: quick tranny question

is there some sorta warranty on the transmission? if it breaks again and it's the same thing... i'd take it back to em and slap em in the face with it... but if the tranny's too heavy to do that with... i suggest a nice soggy trout
