98 heater only works on Med/Hi & Hi
I have replaced the controls on the inside and it didnt fix the problem. Any relays or fuses I need to check or go directly to the blower motor?

Kind of. You need a new resistor module. $26 at the dealer.. This a common issue on these cars. They have a revised design so the new on may look somewhat different than the old one. It is mounted next to the blower motor. Just follow the wires. Good Luck.

I want to thank PUBLIC for the advise. I replaced the part mentioned and that fixed the problem. Fan now works as it should. Thanks again for the help.

I am having a similiar issue on my '99 only the fan works only on the high setting. I will replace the same part as mentioned above and see if that fixes it.
Separately, the heater is only working intermittently - sometimes providing a great deal of heat and other times the air coming out of the vents is as cold as the outside air. My wife drives this car so I am hearing about this problem very frequently Any ideas? Thanks |
