Im in Michigan to bud, and despite the cold winters we have here. The summers are hot as hell. Maybe not a constant like texas, but its safe to say that from july-september it is 80+ degrees outside. with many days reaching 90+ So i dont see what the dif is. If zoomer says that its bad and not needed, i would go with that, i dont think its biased by the fact the he lives in Michigan.

well add another 20 degs to your 90 deg day and thats sitting in traffic. So you figure its 110 plus the heat of the engine. I think one of the main reasons he recommends against them is because many people dont install them properly
