Changing engine fluids Legacy 1996 GTB

Hey guys,

Silly question: where is the Power Steering bottle? And if I need to drain and flush my power steering fluid, how can I do that?

Next silly question: Where do I fill up the gearbox fluid too?

I've owned a Subaru Legacy GTB Twin Turbo wagon for about 2yrs now and havent bothered to find out.... until I struck a problem !

Whilst I'm typing, I may as well ask another question that I haven't been able to find answers to:

When going thru the gears, if I change gear anywhere between about 3,500rpm and say... 5,000rpm I notice the engine accent changes to one of a 'n/a' car sound, and if i try to accelerate it feels like an n/a car too. It only occurs in those revs, so I am guessing the primary turbo is faulty? However, when this problem occurs, if I slowly accelerate until my revs creep up to say... 3,000rpm or so, the engine accent (sound) then changes to the higher pitch, associated with the turbo spooling etc.

Any ideas? Or just replace the turbo?
