Primera Camino? or GT?

I got this email from a chap wanting to know what model Primera he has, can anyone help? hopefully get some pics later.

quote: I just brought a Nissan Primera Camino 96 2L Manual. The guy said it was a GT but at the back its got a Camino Badge so it must be a Camino. But it has the same front Kit/spoiler that your GT had before you put on the new one. And most of the Caminos ive seen have a different front spoiler to the one thats on my car. Could mine actually be a GT or do you think he just put on a GT front spoiler....................
What are the differences from a Camino and a GT?

Heres a link to a Pic of my 96 2L Manual Primera Camino. Its actually the Ad that was posted. http://www.autopoint.co.nz/marketpl...o=5&chkRows=500

The guy i brought it from said it was a GT, but on the back it has the Camino Badge. But it has a front of a GT. So Im unsure to what it is. Can some one tell me a way of checking.

Heres a link to what my front looks like. Its P11GT 's Primera before he did all the mods. http://www.primeragtp11.pwp.blueyond...uk/Ext_5x.html

And this is what a Caminos front is like http://geocities.com/nzprimeracarclub/pics.html

So im unsure if the Guy Put on a GT front or its wrongly badged or something. (The guys overseas so i cant contact him).

But i will get some better pics taken as soon as i get my digital camera back.

Thankz!!

The most definate way would be to decipher the VIN (vehicle identification number).

Did NZ ever sell GT models? Did they say the car was imported? If it was imported it was most likely from Japan and not Europe. What I'm getting at is, I believe that the "JDM" market (which includes NZ and AU) never had a GT model P11. It was a Euro spec model. Japan did have a special edition "Primera UK GT" which was a lift-back P11 not the normal P11 w/ trunk...

Again.. the VIN would put an end to the confusion...

That would be the best bet... have a Nissan dealer look up the VIN for you
