I have a 1990 F150 4X4 with dual tanks and 3 fuel pumps. 1 low pressure in each tank and a master.
My question is: Can the back tank be disconnected and the front tank operate correctly? |

If your truck is set up with a switch inside of the cab, that allows you to switch between the to fuel tanks. I believe that you can disconnect the rear tank and still have the front work correctly. As long as you still have the master pump and the low pressure pump still connected. What you could do is just disconnect the rear tank and run it like that for a few tanks of fuel. And see how it works out. I have a F250 dsl and I took out the front take because it had a nice leak in it. It still runs just fine.
