Arrow Upgrades for 200SX

I've got an '87 200SX SE V6 and I'm looking to do some upgrades to the car. I'm already gonna do intake and exhaust and cheap bolt-ons like that, but I was wondering: what can I do to the engine to make it run better and faster? Just simple stuff like sparkplugs and things like that. Can anyone give me advice?

Re: Upgrades for 200SX

Sell the car and buy one worth upgrading, like a Kia.

Are there a lot of parts available for the 84-89 ZX's?

Re: Upgrades for 200SX

I've seen a couple of hooked up ones, but dunno what kind of engine mods they had, and there's nothing wrong with the car, just don't expect it to be easy to modify.

Re: Upgrades for 200SX

look on ebay.. you'll find a lot of stuff there.. and www.z31.com .. read some of their threads about their mods.. other than that i guess the obvious is that nobody knows anything about this car..

Thanks for the help, guys. I'll do some more research and check for parts from the 300's.

Re: Upgrades for 200SX

I use to have a 85 300 ZX...That 3.0 isn't going to ever make a ton of HP...Just do the basic's..Intake/Exhaust maybe a header...Remember that it needs a new timing belt/water pump every 60K miles, so make sure the service is good to go before spending $$$ on mods...

Good luck/skill!

Re: Upgrades for 200SX

First things first, I gotta get the car in good stock condition and then I'll just work on the basics like intake and exhaust. I know I won't get a ton of HP, but I'd like a little more than stock.
