wow u guys are really confusing me whats the differnce between a s13 240, a 240 and whats a k-at...or whatever is that just a 240?

...ok...........240SX is the name of the model, so is Silvia or 180SX (both japanese models). S13 is the name of the chassis, so is S14, S15, BNR34, BNCR33, SXE10, FC3S, etc.

The KA24DE is the engine in the 240SX, the KA-T is the turbo version, which you have to do yourself, it doesn't come like that from the factory.

just to clarify s13 alittle better.s13 is the chassis name for the 89-94, s14 is95-98 and s15 is the japan model for 99-00 (believe it stoped in 2000?) BNR34, BNCR33 is the skyline chassis codes, FC3S is an rx7, not sure on the SXE10

Yeah, I think the S15 went to 2002 also, SXE10 is the IS300 and S15 is the chassis name not the model as driftking777 said. And S13 is 88-92 technically, because in Japan, the S14 started production in 1993 and the S13 started in 1988. RPS13 is the 180SX style 240SX (hatchback with pop-ups.)

The S13 chassis continued through 1997. The 180 SX was still manufactured after the S14 Silvia was produced.

Here you RARELY see a 180SX referred to as an S13. The S13 is what we call a Silvia.

180SX was the RPS13 and RS13, not S13/PS13.

Quite often in forums like this everyone refers to their cars as S13s. Here if you call your car an S13 it is assumed you are talking about a Silvia and NOT a 180SX. I am aware that a 180 is an RPS13, but they just call them 180s.

i call my car a 240 but if someone asks which one i say s13 cause that'll tell them its got the popups.. when i hear s14 i think of the 95-98 240sx and for s15, well i've only ever seen pictures so.. when i say s13 or s14 SILVIA then i know its japanese..
