Cracked Window Trim

Hey Guys,
I have a 1g Eclipse and I live in sunny (not recently) California. The black plastic (or is it vinyl) trim that goes around all the bottom of all the windows is starting to crack badly. I just got a new paint job but that stupid trim is making the rest of my car look bad. It beyond the point of reconditioning and is very brittle and flakes and peels. Is there a replacement that i can buy for this? Ive looked everywhere but i cant find any. Or should i paint it? Beneath the vinyl is a metal so.........
If you need to see pictures ill put them up. Thanks Guys!!!

Re: Cracked Window Trim

it happens to most 1g's. if you find out a way to fix it email me at [email protected]. painting the metal should work. just pop the trim off and peel off all the rubber crap, sand the metal, primer and paint. i've been meaning to try that on one of mine but i havent done it yet. let me know how it turns out

Re: Cracked Window Trim

Heck, my top window trim is flaking off and looks like crap . I'm trying to decide what to do about it as well.
