We have just purchased our first "X"...a 2001 SE automatic, solar yellow. i am looking for some suggestins and help on what accessories and modifications I need to make to get this baby off road ready and capable. I have never modified a vehicle for this purpose and could really use some help...so let me have your opinions please...I want to get this bad boy muddy!:frog:

Organized in rough order of getting you safely down the trail (and back again) in my opinion.

1. Tires
2. Emergency & Communication Gear
3. Bumpers
4. Skidplates & Rock Sliders

For more specific answers check the individual forums of the board (i.e. tire selection, etc.)

You can also try perusing my and other owner's websites to see what we've done and how it's helped us.

I would add:

Upgrade your shocks in between 2 and 3.

Also remove your rear sway bar after the shock upgrade.

It will probably take you at least a week to browse through the different message boards and web sites, but then you will have plenty of ideas of how to spend your money. That's how I got sucked in
