?? Rear Interior Panel removal on 1990 st??

Does anyone know how to remove the rear interior panels by the back speakers on a 1990 celica ST?

And also where is the button to remove the back seats in the same year....i cant seem to find the damn button/lever.

Im installing a new sub but i cant seem to get to the wires because of the damn rear panels....

Hey I am doing the same thing and I couldn't get the rear panels off so i just had to take the speaker cover off and do it with the panel still on. It was a really tight squeeze. You take off your bottom seats first...there is a lever on each side...just kinda feel for it...then u can unscrew the backrest part of the seat bc the screw is behind the bucket seats...if you get everything work let me know what wire you spliced with ur remote wire bc the one i did keeps the power wire on when i turn my car off and i cant seem to find one that turns the amp off when i turn the car off

hey dude, if ya havent fingered it out yet...haha, i said fingered....but anyways....the rear seat is a TWO seater. look directly, or feel (finger...lol) directly infront of both seats, where the seat meets the floor...there is a lil lever, PLASTIC lever, on both sides that is on a spring release, so, u give the lever a push i believe towards the passenger side while lifting up on the seat. that'll remove the bottom half. there are i believe 2 bolts, you'll see them they are brass colored, at the bottom of the back holding the back on. take them out, then slide the rear of the seat UPWARD because it is hinged on 2 hooks up top. ''WAL*AH" YOU JUST REMOVED UR REAR SEAT. PEACE OUT

YO, and about the SIDE PANELS, its been a while since ive taken mine out, i gutted my interior COMPLETELY. once the seat is out, you can see the rest of the side panel that was hiding beside the seat. all screws are able to be seen...i think there may be a few plastic tabs, COVERS, that are snapped over a hole where a screw may be. and also, dont forget to pop the grill cover off where your side speakers are, because there are a few screws in there as well. i hope this helps u out sorry i couldnt give full detail, if you need a fuller detailed description just lemme know and i'll check out my car since its still all apart and i'll get back to ya. HAVE FUN!!
