How Do I Adjust My Air-fuel Ratio??

I just installed a cool air intake and will be installed headers/exhaust soon and i know that my cars ECU still thinks it has the stock air filter, etc. and i know my mixture(A-F Ratio) will be off and i want to know how to adjust it so my mixture isn't too lean or too rich. Do I need to adjust the fuel pressure?? Is there any chips I can get that would make my car run faster and if so which chip would be the best for my civic. Thanks
-Glenn
P.S. Where is my cars ECU located??

disconnect your ground on your batter, or take the hazard fuse under the hood out for a lil bit.

pull the ecu fuse in the engine compartment and let it set for a minute before plugginf it back in. But if your 02 sensor is working properly, your air fuel ratio should be fine.

Re: How Do I Adjust My Air-fuel Ratio??

you can pull the hazard fuse for 20 seconds or so. its found under your hood. 15 amps i think?

OR

you can go and disconnect your whole battery from your car for like 10 minutes or so according to other sources.

then start up your car and let it sit at a steady idle for a few minutes.

yea your O2 sensor is what controls the A/F ratio after it heats up to operating temperature, you shouldn't need to reset your ECU.

Yeah don't buy any of those stupid e-bay chips they will advance your timing and cause nothing but problems. I have a friend that can burn a real chip if you would like one. e-mail me at [email protected] with all your complete motor setup and add ons.

hit your positive terminal to your negative for like 3 seconds and that will reset your ecu.

You can buy an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator and increase the pressure 3-5lbs. It will richen up the ratio a little but it may not make much difference in power. Not that you can feel anyway.
