94 Lumina APV ABS warning light

My wife drove it to the store and back last night. No problem. I went to go somewhere today and it won't turn over.

So I charged the battery, cleaned all the conections, and it still won't turn over. There's a clicking sound coming from the master cylinder when you turn the key, and the brake peddle is to the top and tight. It also won't shift into other gears. I thought if I could get it into nutral that maybe she'd start, but nothing.

Is there a shut off on the master cylider if there's something wrong with the antilock brakes? Could it be the nutral swith and where is that? It doesn't help being 20* outside.

I read all the posts here and mine doesn't have a security chip in the key, so I need your help.

Here's some new stuff.

It was 70* and dropped to 10* above last night, and I think this had a lot to do with our problem with the Illumination Bus {Lumina APV}.

My wife went to take out the grand daughters car seat, and tried to start it up. After the ignition wouldn't move a couple of times, it finally tuned over and started right up. The shifter wouldn't move, just stayed in park. So she let it warm up, and then retrieved me.

She said, "I started the car, but it won't shift!" So I tried a couple of times but to no availe. Then my daughter went out and said she got the shifter unstuck, and I freaked, and low and behold she did. It was real stiff like stuff gets when it's very cold out.

So, I took it around the block, came home, and all seems to be fine, and shifter works the way it always did.

But now when you turn on the ignition, a warning light to check ABS lights up, and at the same time there's a click coming from the junk near the master cylider, but then both go away.

Now what?

I miss the ease of working on older Chev's
