1993 elantra, wat do u think?

My dad owns a 1993 elantra, and im going to own it soon. Anyways, I am going to rebuild lots of stuff, and replace lots of stuff. Is the elantra a good car for autocrossing? Is it fast? I havnt seen it in 2 or so years becuz my dad isnt here, he has a job sumwhere else. All i remember is the handling is pretty decent and it doesnt roll that much..... but that was a long while ago. I need some input???

One of the best sources of information on the Elantra and Autocrossing can be found here. it gives you the categories and breakdown of whats needed and how you start.

Keep us posted as to what you plan on doing.
