In another thread, someone mentioned something about a recall for the turn signals. I think my 2001's turn signals are starting to go out, since sometimes they don't work. Can anyone tell me more about this recall?

Yup, there's a recall on the hazard light switch assembly. You can test to see if this is the problem by turning the hazards on and off and see if your turn signals start working again. Matter o' fact, I just replaced mine this weekend. I was gonna have the dealer do it since it was a recall, but they didn't have any appointments for almost 2 weeks. Since I do about 100 miles a day, it's imperative for me to have turn signals that work and the trick I mentioned above stopped working. So, I went to the dealer and bought the switch - $29 and some change out the door and it took me less than 15 minutes to install. Just undo the 2 phillips screws in the speedo/tach area and pop the fake carbon fiber trim off with a flathead screwdriver. Ignore the internal light dimmer control - even though it looks like it needs to come off, it really doesn't - it just kind of hangs there. Once you're got the trim seperated from the dash, unplug the connector from the switch and press the top and bottom of the switch so that the tabs slide past the plastic stops and push the switch out the front of the trim. Just reverse the process to put it back together and voila!

I have a problem with the relay it seems on my malibu in that it clicks for apparently no reason. It clicks as if it's turning but at a more rapid rate, and at random intervals sometimes only once. I initially though it was something to do with the steering column but now I'm not convinced! Could it be a bad relay?
