Daimler-benz was the name of the origional Merc-benz company formed in 1926.

I would agree that they need to split up, but my point was that you have Merc to blame for that, not Chrysler.

Amen. I figuire this would be a good time to say that Cadillac has totally OWNED Mercedes, as well as pretty much every other competing company in the world when it comes to quality. The new CTS, STS, SRX, and CTS-V (all made here near my beloved home-town) totally kick the asses out of all the competition quality-wise. On the last test, the only company the beat Caddy was Lexus, and they only beat them by one point.
