Toyota GT-One
Does anyone know what happened to the Toyota GT-One race cars after they were retired from racing in 1999? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Actually Toyota only ever used the LeMans program to prepare for F1. They used it to test their engine, engineers, equipment and to get a feel for full on motor sports again. Once they announced their F1 program the GT-One and LeMans was ended to focus on F1. Thats how Alan Mcnish came to drive the Toyota F1 because of the 3years he had spent with Toyota developing and racing the GT-One. He then moved on to Audi and won several championships and was invited by Toyota F1 to test, then race their F1 car.
It's to bad, Toyota's GT-One car and the Nissan's R390 GT1 are two cars that had awsome potential that was never realized due to funding.

Re: Toyota GT-One
They actually used one of the TS020 chasis as a mule for engine prts. A mate of mine came across it blatting round Monza with a 3 litre V10 in the back...
