Need help

Hey guys, so I just bout a 87 4 cyl fiero today and its only got 50,00 miles on it!!!!!! Everything seems to be fine on it but when I turn on the left turn signal it does not blink,istead it just stays on all the time not blinking. So when I turn on the car and put my parking lights on the left parking light is brighter cause the turn signal is like stuck on and wont blink. the other one works fine and the left brake light is not brighter so im guessing it is a problem with the front light. Also the front of the car shakes really bad when I start going fast WHATS UP WITH THAT????

check that front turn signal because your connector might have went out and a piece is broken (happened to me) and i dont know about the front

ok ill check that out does anyone else have an opinion on the light issue and what about the front end shaking????? Thanks

if the front end is shaking based on speed, its probably
a) wheel(s) out of balance
b) out of alignment
c) worn out suspension parts (which will cause b))
d) tires are badly and not evenly worn

at least we know its not engine related, since thats in the back.

for your front end there is also a possablity that the front hs been hit and fixed but who ever fixed it might not have noticed if the subframe took some damage. check it out ... it might not be the prob but then agian it might be too.

Well I looked for damage up front and everything looks fine. When I was driving I noticed that when I hit the accelerator the left rear is very bumpy, almost like the tire is almost flat. and when I let off of the gas the car still bumps around in the rear but not nearly as bad as when I hit the gas. I dont know if this is a ballance issue or maybe the axle is bent????? I dont know im not mechanicly inclined. Also when the car is running the exhaust smells really rich. Is it like this with all fieros??? the exhaust system is fine and i just changed the oil and air filter. Thank you for your help guys .

Check the dogbone bushings and other engine mounts. The rubber bushings go soft with age and the engine torques back and forth when you accelerate or decelerate causing a thump. It could also be the transmission mouts being bad. If it smells like its burning rich it could be the injectors in the TPI. Its dumping too much gas. Try some injector cleaner in the gas.

Check for error codes that may be present, which may indicate a bad sensor.

I was looking thru a repair book for the fiero and it tells you how tyo fix everything in the car and it said if there is a vibration during accereration than it is more than likekly worn or damaged cv boots so thats what im thinking it is. Thanks for everyones help and I really appriciate it. If anyone has anymore suggestions I would like to hear them THANKS

found the problem, its 1 engine mount and 1 tranny mount and it caused the engine to shake bad from side to side causing the axles to do the same thing thus makeing the rough ride. Thanks everyone for your help

the light problem could be the wrong bulb in the socket front or rear if a double element bulb 1187 was used where a single element bulb is supposed to be
