'90 Trooper Temp Guage position

Just curious about the temp guage in the trooper i just got
It stays just under 1/4 distance on the guage
not very high at all. Is this normal? Its winter here in new jersey but i think it should read higher.

I have a '90 with 308K on it. I have replaced several thermostats during that period. Mine needle runs about 11:30, that is, slightly left of dead center. Use only an Isuzu thermostat. If that doesnt work change the sending unit. G/L
