99 SC1 Alternator Question

Hello,
Pretty easy question: can I change my alternator with ease on my 99 SC1? I am a bit of an amateur, but know my way around an engine and do my own maintenance.

Re: 99 SC1 Alternator Question

yup. you can. its pretty simple. release the belt, take out the 2 bolts... maybe 3... and put the other one back in... its a pain in the balls to get it OUT of where it is cuz you have to do it from under the car. but once you've got it out you're good to go.

Replaced the alternator this past weekend. Pretty easy, but a bit time consuming (took around 2 hours for me). Still didn't fix my light dimming problem. Oh, well.
