92 Metro eating belts

1992 Geo metro, 1.0L, 3 cyl is eating belts. Keep putting new ones on and within a few weeks it breaks again. If I don't super tighten them, they sqweak like hell. Any advice?

Check to see if the water pump (2 holes) weep holes are leaking the least amount. If they do they leak, it's right onto the belt & it will start slipping or squeling. Just had one do that recently. hope it helps
