Exclamation Helllllppppp!!!!!!!!

New to the forums, lookin for some advice!!! I went out last nite, lost my car key, dont have the spare, its a 2000 Chevy Venture with transponder in the key... now, i got it unlocked, i just, WHERE AND HOW CAN I GET THE KEY REPLACED TO DRIVE? AHHHHHHHH and on a sunday *or monday* no less???? Any advice whatsoever as to help would be great! WE called AAA and they sent a locksmith, GM has stopped giving out the key codes so i cant supposedly have a key remade less i have the key code? Any advice will be appreciated! Spanx

Don't you hate when Murphy's law kicks in and on the weekend no less? While I'm not familiar with transponder keys, I would think the first thing to do is call a Chevy dealer in the morning and have your VIN # ready. If they can't help you that way you might have to have the van towed to the dealer. I would also call around to various locksmiths and places that specialize in duplicating keys and tell them about your situation. They might be able to help in some way. In my area there are a couple of places that deal with transponder key duplicating and are listed in our phone book. That would be a good place to start. Good luck !
